Speaker: Brian Brookins
Notes:Matthew 8: 1-13
The only way for us to relate to God is by faith. Indeed Jesus states to the Centurion a basic principle: “let it be done for you as you have believed.” But what is faith and what does it look like? From the human side faith contains two aspects. Both dimensions are essential and both are clearly portrayed in Matthew chapters 8 & 9.
Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone

Speaker: Adam Greenfield
Do Hard Thing #1 is getting out of our comfort zones. God has created us to do great things in this life. Too often we get caught in routines that stifle the growth we desperately need. God wants to stretch us beyond our natural strengths and push us to do things that seem scary. He uses our weaknesses to show how glorious and mighty the God of the universe is. We get to participate in His unfolding plan with a promise that He will never leave us or forsake us.

Speaker: Brian Brookins
Notes: Matthew 7:24-29
How do you build a life that will hold up even when the storms arrive? It requires the right foundation. As Jesus closes out the greatest sermon ever preached he does so with an invitation. He invites us to build our lives upon the solid rock of hearing and obeying his words. Application! We must apply and obey the words of Jesus. In doing so we prepare ourselves for the final judgment and for the trials of this life as well.
Introduction to Reformed Theology
January 14, 2009
Speaker: Adam Greenfield
The sixteenth century marked a dramatic and life changing shift in the Christian church, the Reformation. The thousand years leading up to the Reformation, known as the Dark Ages, saw an eclipse of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ceremony, tradition, and papal authority overshadowed the Holy Scriptures as supreme authority. By God’s grace and providence a remnant of Christians challenged the dogmas of the medieval church and thus the Reformation was born. This six month overview of Reformed Theology will survey the five doctrines of grace as they have come to be known. This first teaching will survey church history from the death of Christ to the birth of the Reformation. It will answer the question, “Why was the church in need of reform,” and “Where did the 5 doctrines of grace come from?” SDG
